Question
1: What is Circuit Circle?
|
| Answer:
Circuit Circle is a fun, non-threatening group exercise program
that quickly and safely changes your body shape. Circuit Circle
utilizes hydraulic resistance exercise equipment that matches
the effort of the user at any fitness level (we call it accommodating
resistance). Circuit Circle is fun, fast and produces results
quickly. |
| Question
2: How does Circuit Circle work? |
| An
Circuit Circle program works on a "work/recover/work/recover"
format with the participant alternating at set intervals of
30 or 45 seconds between the hydraulic exercise stations and
recovery aerobic stations. You can begin anywhere in the circuit
and start exercising at your own pace. After warm-up, you should
try to maintain your target heart rate for the duration of the
class. Wall charts provide guidelines for target heart rates.
You decide for yourself how hard/fast to push yourself. A Circuit
Circle instructor is available to provide help and guidance. |
| Question
3: How will Circuit Circle benefit me? |
|
| The
major benefit for the Circuit Circle user is Inches lost. You
will burn lots of calories and strengthen your muscles and build
lean muscle while having fun. You will look and feel better
quickly and safely. |
| Question
4: Will my muscles get sore? |
|
Generally no. Because Circuit Circle machines use hydraulic
resistance, there is no "negative" (lowering the weight)
resistance, which is one of the primary causes of muscle soreness.
You will feel a very satisfied "fatigue" after a workout,
but little or no soreness the next day. |
| Question
5: Will I get big muscles? |
|
| You
will not bulk your muscles for very much the same reason that
this program minimizes and avoids soreness. that is, there is
no negative or eccentric resistance with the hydraulic Circuit
Circle system. Negative resistance is part of weight training
which necessarily bulks and builds bigger muscles, which is
the objective of body builders, but not our objective. You will
however develop added muscle that is long, lean, and better
toned but it will not be bulked. One of the important benefits
of additional and stronger muscles is an Increase in your resting
metabolism, which means you will be burning more calories during
everyday activities. |
| Question
6: Will I lose weight? |
| Generally
yes. You will definitely lose fat but gain some lean, well-
conditioned and fit muscles. With Circuit Circle you will lose
body fat faster than almost any other 30-minute workout. One
of the major and relatively quick benefits will be Inch loss. |
| Question
7: How does Circuit Circle burn fat faster than other 30 minute
workouts? |
|
Circuit
Circle burns fat faster for a number of reasons.
1. Each machine works two major muscle groups, using more muscle
and burning more calories per unit of time.
2. Studies show that muscles work at their optimum level for
approximately 30 to 45 seconds.
By alternating stations and working different muscle groups
for 30 to 45 seconds
at near optimum levels you maximize caloric burn rates.
3. Working your muscles at an optimum rate during the workout
ensures that your body metabolism stays higher Longer, thus
burning more calories following your workout.
4. This program improves and Increases lean muscle which necessarily
contributes
to a higher metabolic rate, since a pound of muscle will burn
about 50 more
calories per day than a pound of fat. |
| Question
8: I've heard that I should lift and lower weights slowly, this
seems to do the opposite? |
| That
is true. Remember Circuit Circle is not a weight lifting program.
Speed of hydraulic actuation is the key to Circuit Circle. The
ability to more quickly overcome hydraulic resistance as your
fitness level improves sets Circuit Circle apart from other
circuit programs. |
